title: Automations engine
description: Background jobs that keep your shop moving while you're away.

<FeatureVideo src="/videos/automations.mp4" title="Automations demo" />

The automations engine runs scheduled jobs inside your browser while a Vinted tab is
open and signed in. Every job is **off by default**, has a safety-floor interval you
can't go below, and respects the same daily caps as manual actions.

## The jobs

- **Restocker** — detects sold and stale items and relists them through the
  [repost engine](/docs/features/repost-engine). Configure the scan interval (15-minute
  minimum), reposts per cycle, and a per-item daily cap — up to 100 reposts per day.
- **Follow-up** — sends your nudge message to conversations that still need a reply.
  Configure the interval (30-minute minimum), nudges per cycle, and the message itself
  (with `@username` personalization). Each thread is only ever nudged once.
- **Smart agent** — the [AI inbox agent](/docs/features/inbox-automation) answering
  unread buyer questions on a schedule (10-minute minimum), using the AI credits in
  your plan. Configure tone and an optional system prompt with your own rules.
- **Auto offers** — [auto-offers](/docs/features/auto-offers) accepting and countering
  within your thresholds, scanning every 15 minutes by default (5-minute minimum).

Per-listing switches — restock on/off, auto-message, offer rules and minimum offer —
are edited inline in the **Listings** tab, so you can exclude any item from any job.

## Scheduling & reliability

- Every interval has a **safety floor** — you can't accidentally configure an automation
  to hammer the marketplace.
- The extension keeps itself alive in the background while an automation is enabled, so
  schedules keep firing even when you're not looking at Vinted.
- If your computer sleeps, jobs resume where they left off next time you're online.
- A separate **liveness sync** keeps your [dashboard](/docs/dashboard) fresh — sold
  orders and listing changes flow to sellu.app even when every automation is off.

<Callout type="warn" title="Start conservative">
  Automations are powerful defaults-off tools. Begin with long intervals and small
  per-cycle counts, especially on a seasoned account — see
  [account safety](/docs/features/account-safety) for how pacing protects you.
